National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
September 30, 2021

September 30 is the first-ever National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This newly created statutory holiday commemorates the tragic legacy of residential schools in Canada.
The day also coincides with Orange Shirt Day, a day to commemorate the residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation.
Read the history of this important initiative and find out why we wear orange shirts here.
Need an orange shirt? Find them online at OurFeather.com or any other retailer of your choice.
