Volunteers

Who We Are

Our core team is comprised of volunteer members who have been elected to the executive committee .

Meet the Executive

Our team fulfill the following roles for two year terms:

  • Co-Chairs
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Communications
  • Website Coordinator
  • Family Support Fund Co-Chairs

Though these members tend to drive and support the direction of Home & School for the year, decisions that regard activities, events, fundraisers and the like are voted on at our meetings.  Any member in good standing (a member of QFSHA) has a vote.  You can join the Quebec Federation of Home and School Associations (QFSHA) at anytime during the year. All Willingdon families are welcome at our meetings, so please join us!

We’re looking for enthusiastic and community-minded volunteers to join our Home & School Association! We currently have openings for a Secretary and a Family Support Fund Co-Chair. These are wonderful opportunities to get involved, connect with other families, and help make a meaningful difference in our school community. Whether you’re able to lend your organizational skills, help support families in need, or simply want to contribute your time and ideas, we’d love to have you join us. No special experience is required—just a willingness to help and be part of our team!
Only the Best

We Know How to Get Things Done

Home & School is  fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Willingdon teachers and school administration to organize enriching activities for the students, families and school staff alike. We are constantly seeking insight from our experienced parent volunteers who know what’s tried, tested and true, and newer members who bring fresh ideas and insight to our ventures. All this allows us to provide continuous, evolving and effective support to our school community.

Meet Your H&S Team

Daniella Fietta

Daniella Fietta

Chair

I’m Violet’s Mom, also August’s (age 2) mom. I’ve been a proud Willingdon parent since 2020. I joined the Home and School Association in 2022 as directed by my daughter. She said I had to because I had volunteered at the daycare and now that she was in school, I had to volunteer there. I didn’t expect the excitement she had in seeing me in the school, but that lit-up face when I’m organizing school activities is the biggest reward. I was the Family Support Fund chair for 2022-23 and stepped up to executive committee co-chair for 2023-7 with the ever so amazing Kristy Cuevas. What else can I share? I work at CN in I&T, am not technically-minded, not very coordinated either, but I do like eating. Cookies and pastries are my kryptonite and daily joy.
Adam Keith

Adam Keith

Treasurer

Hello I’m Adam I’ve been a Willingdon Dad since 2022. I’m born and raised in the UK, finally settling in Montreal. I’ve worked in the space sector for over 25 years. So I like space stuff. I also like supporting below average football teams (ok, fine, soccer), going to the gym, and cheese. I mostly go to the gym so I can eat cheese.

I also like numbers. So I ended up being the treasurer.

Natassja King

Natassja King

Secretary

I am the parent of a child starting K4 at Willingdon this year, and I am excited to become part of the school community. I am an art teacher by training and continue to work in education in a part-time non-teaching role. This schedule gives me the flexibility to volunteer and become more involved in supporting school initiatives.

I bring eight years of office administration experience, as well as a year and a half of experience serving as Treasurer on my union’s executive at my last school. Through these roles, I have developed strong organizational, administrative, and financial management skills, along with experience working collaboratively with teams and supporting the needs of our wider community.

As Secretary, I am pleased to contribute these skills in support of the school community to help foster a positive and engaged environment for students, families, and staff.

Kristin Taylor

Kristin Taylor

Family Support Fund Co-Chair

We have had such a positive year, and I do believe the community environment this school offers is part of the reason our year was so wonderful. I have volunteered previously with the pizza lunch, I work as a Sports Physiotherapist, and I currently volunteer on the board for a not-for-profit organization at my daycare. In that organization I have explored many roles, and I have helped with and led events.

Communications

I’m Alicia, Luke’s mom. We’ve been part of the Willingdon family since 2024, and we absolutely love our school community. I’ve always secretly wanted to be one of those “volunteer moms,” so when the opportunity came up, I figured… this is my moment!

I’m also an educator at a daycare here in NDG, working with toddlers, so I’ve definitely had plenty of experience with little people, big feelings, and keeping things fun (and somewhat organized!). I’m looking forward to meeting more families, helping wherever I can, and being part of all the fun that makes Willingdon such a great school.
