Let’s Show Our Teachers and Staff Some Appreciation!

Calling on the Willingdon community!

February 10 to 14 is Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week (TSAW)!

There are approx. 110 staff at Willingdon who take care of our kids each and every day, so we’d love to show them our appreciation!

If you have access to any gifts/treats/experiences that we could gift to the staff, please let us know!

A long standing tradition of TSAW is the potluck lunch. This is a fun opportunity for parents to feed everyone at the school.

The potluck lunch will be held on Tuesday, February 11th. You can volunteer to make a dish with love to thank your child’s teacher and show support for the staff and administration.

Please sign up to bring food or help serve the lunch at 11.30am in the Junior Campus staff lounge.

Thanks everyone!

Kindergarten Holiday breakfast recap

Kindergarten Holiday breakfast recap

The Kindergarten holiday breakfast was a delightful morning filled with festive cheer. Children and their teachers gathered to enjoy a spread of scones, fruit, and hot cocoa, all while sharing in the excitement of the season. After breakfast, the little ones engaged in crafting activities. The highlight of the morning was a joyful sing-along. And afterwards the celebration continued in the library, where the children gathered for a story read by the Junior Campus vice-Principal. It was a joyful, memorable event that brought the whole pre-K and Kindergarten classes together in the spirit of the season.

Annual Toy Drive

Home & School is once again proud to support Carolyn’s annual toy drive.

Deadline to participate is December 13, 2024

Willingdon is participating in a Toy Drive once again this year and we are counting on our wonderful community to help bring smiles to these children’s faces during the holiday season! We are supporting Carolyn’s Community, a non for profit organization (also a Willingdon Mom) who has been running an annual Toy Drive for 22 years for our community. Please read the instructions carefully to see what is required for the two age groups.

This year, the toy drive will benefit over 4,000 children in need in 75 shelters and organizations.
