Volunteers

Who We Are

Our core team is comprised of volunteer members who have been elected to the executive committee .

Meet the Executive

Our team fulfill the following roles for two year terms:

  • Co-Chairs
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Communications
  • Website Coordinator
  • Family Support Fund Co-Chairs

Though these members tend to drive and support the direction of Home & School for the year, decisions that regard activities, events, fundraisers and the like are voted on at our meetings.  Any member in good standing (a member of QFSHA) has a vote.  You can join the Quebec Federation of Home and School Associations (QFSHA) at anytime during the year. All Willingdon families are welcome at our meetings, so please join us!

Keep an eye out for openings on the Home & School Executive team in the Spring of 2025.

Only the Best

We Know How to Get Things Done

Home & School is  fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Willingdon teachers and school administration to organize enriching activities for the students, families and school staff alike. We are constantly seeking insight from our experienced parent volunteers who know what’s tried, tested and true, and newer members who bring fresh ideas and insight to our ventures. All this allows us to provide continuous, evolving and effective support to our school community.

Meet Your H&S Team

Daniella Fietta

Daniella Fietta

Co-Chair

I’m Violet’s Mom, also August’s (age 2) mom. I’ve been a proud Willingdon parent since 2020. I joined the Home and School Association in 2022 as directed by my daughter. She said I had to because I had volunteered at the daycare and now that she was in school, I had to volunteer there. I didn’t expect the excitement she had in seeing me in the school, but that lit-up face when I’m organizing school activities is the biggest reward. I was the Family Support Fund chair for 2022-23 and stepped up to executive committee co-chair for 2023-5 with the ever so amazing Kristy Cuevas. What else can I share? I work at CN in I&T, am not technically-minded, not very coordinated either, but I do like eating. Cookies and pastries are my kryptonite and daily joy.

Co-Chair

I became a proud Willingdon parent in 2017, instantly drawn to the amazing Home and School community. Over the years, I’ve worn a few hats, including Secretary, FSF Chair, and I even had the pleasure of chairing the Grad Committee in 2022 before stepping up as Co-Chair. I have two awesome Willingdon Alumni who still come back to lend a hand at events, and my youngest son is in grade 1, so I have a few more years before I (tearfully) say goodbye! I survived the SR campus split, COVID protocols and the chaotic renovation, so nothing phases me now! I thrive on all things crafty and nerdy, work best under pressure, and have yet to meet a food (or video game) I don’t like. As an autistic mom of four autistic kids, I bring a unique perspective to our school community and love every minute of it!

Adam Keith

Treasurer

Hello I’m Adam I’ve been a Willingdon Dad since 2022. I’m born and raised in the UK, finally settling in Montreal. I’ve worked in the space sector for over 25 years. So I like space stuff. I also like supporting below average football teams (ok, fine, soccer), going to the gym, and cheese. I mostly go to the gym so I can eat cheese. I also like numbers. So I ended up being the treasurer.
Veronica Santaguida

Secretary

I am thrilled to continue my role as secretary here, where I enjoy supporting our students, staff, and families. I am a passionate children’s book author, bringing stories to life with imagination and creativity. With a background in marketing and innovation, I enjoy exploring new ideas and strategies. Above all, I cherish my role as a mother to two wonderful Willingdon girls, who inspire me daily. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of such a vibrant and nurturing school community.

Family Support Fund Co-Chair

Hello school family! Some of you may know me as “my kid’s classmate’s dad” or “that guy I’ve seen at pickup a few times” but I was actually given my own name many years ago: Nicholas LeBel-Buchanan. I’ve been a Willingdon dad for 5 years now. I’ve always seen the Family Support Fund as a valuable part of Home and School, and I’m pleased now to have the chance to contribute to keeping it running smoothly and effectively. I am discrete and careful, and I have experience handling money for other charities. I’m equally happy to work in a team or on my own as the moment requires, et en francais si nécessaire.

Family Support Fund Co-Chair

We have had such a positive year, and I do believe the community environment this school offers is part of the reason our year was so wonderful. I have volunteered previously with the pizza lunch, I work as a Sports Physiotherapist, and I currently volunteer on the board for a not-for-profit organization at my daycare. In that organization I have explored many roles, and I have helped with and led events.
Josh Goldberg

Josh Goldberg

Communications

Josh brings over 15 years of experience in writing, digital communications and marketing to the role. He’s an avid tech enthusiast, proud Willingdon dad, and he’s excited to use his skills to keep our school community informed and connected. When he’s not crafting messages for us, you’ll be able to find him and his wife Tamara wrangling their son Logan (entering grade 2) and daughter Audrey (Coming soon to a Willingdon classroom near you in 2026! Watch out!).
